AVES
Based on the movement of the birds themselves, a composition of interlocking wing-like leather elements are shaped and moulded to create a sense of flow and motion.
A soft, muted colour palette, creates greater definition with shadows changing between day and night. The organic wing-like elements use several tones, embellished with hand stitching and alerting depths to mimic an undulating movement, representing the beauty and complexity of the natural world.
Aves by Pintark takes its inspiration from murmuration, a special type of flocking named after the sound created from thousands of wingbeats and soft flight calls. Unique and visually striking, murmurations move across the sky in arresting shape-shifting clouds, symbolising co-operation and unity.
Capturing fluidity and movement, Aves stretches across 200 metres, wrapping itself around a series of curved walls. A complex composition resembling the swirling, twisting shapes of created by murmuration.
